Why Daily Habits Fail Women – And How to Create a Routine That Works

Are you struggling to keep up with your daily habits? You know they’re good for you, but when you feel burnt out and skip them, you feel like a failure.
While tiny habits, or Atomic habits can be wonderfully effective when used in phases, daily habits are not designed for women!
Women’s hormones and energy levels fluctuate, and cycle through a 4-phase journey that lasts around a month. This is known as an infradium rhythm. Men, on the other hand typically receive secretions of testosterone throughout the day, and their energy is attuned to a daily rhythm. Our monthly cycle has an intrinsic and powerful affect on our ability to manifest goals.
I know that there’s been a lot of research done on the power of daily habits, but guess what? Most research is conducted on men. It’s been this way for centuries and its only just beginning to change for the better. The reasoning for this gender bias in research has been that females are a more complicated model organism than males. The physiological changes associated with the menstrual cycle add a whole lot of complexity when it comes to understanding how the body may respond to external stimulus, such as taking a drug or performing a specific type of exercise. Female research is more time-consuming and expensive, and that’s part of the reason why its mostly been disregarded.
So rather than committing yourself to a daily habit system that has proven affective when studied mostly on men, take pause and consider a system that works with your female physiology.
I hear from women all the time who’ve attempted to take on a daily habit commitment and feel like they’re treading water to keep up perfectly with their daily habits. When they inevitably become fatigued or burnt out and skip a day or two they struggle with feelings of guilt and shame. This makes it very difficult to get back on track. This dynamic leaves them feeling “not good enough” and ends up sabotaging their efforts and their goal.
This is why I created Cycle Habits.
These are habits that work together in phases, that you can sync with your Menstrual Cycle, or the Moon Cycle.
This is so much more than just letting ourselves off the hook if we don’t keep up with a daily habit. It’s about embracing our innate abilities to manifest our goals through magnetic attraction rather than hustle culture.
Cycle Habits are tracked over the course of a month, where you can leverage natural windows of energy to super-charge your momentum, and periods of rest to reflect on and tweak your trajectory – while still enjoying the compounding effect of habit repetition in order to up-level your life.
With Cycle Habits we also embrace habit-stacking and bio-hacking in order to expend less effort but yield extraordinary, measurable results. We approach our healthy habits with intention, and honor our need to rest and recharge, without losing traction on our goals. We learn to elevate our frequency and give from our overflow.
Isn’t it time to drop the struggle, escape the daily grind, and step off the hamster wheel?
Escape the daily grind and still achieve your goals with ease and enjoyment – and without the guilt!
